Welcome To Tangents North Music

John Landry's unmistakable voice combined with his intelligent songwriting abilities create one memorable hit after another. Landry's sensational debut into the Canadian country music scene began in 2000 with his first single "There You Were", which became the most played song on radio winning the prestigious SOCAN award. The album "Forever Took Too Long" continued to become a phenomenal success garnering multiple Juno Award nominations and capturing "Best Independent Male" at the CCMA's. The album also produced the signature high-rotation hits "Bit By Bit", "Long Gone & Forgotten" and "My Heart Says Yes".

In 2002, Landry continued his fan-driven success with the release of "Bottom of The Ninth" and the top-20 charting debut single "When Will Your Memory Let Me Go". This album went on to see the release of five more singles, including the CCMA nominated "Everybody Rides", a moving song about all of our journey's throughout life.

For the recording of "Someday" in 2005, John Landry spent three months in Nashville, TN and worked with world-renowned musicians such as Paul Franklin, Eddie Beyers, Paul Liem and John Willis, whose instrumental talents can be savored on the albums of artists such as Sting, Mark Knopfler, Alan Jackson and Shania Twain.

Now John Landry is geared up to introduce fans and industry alike to his newest recording entitled "Changing Man", which will be released in 2009. The new album which has already gathered much "hype" promises to deliver, as Landry teams up once again with long-time friend and songwriter Rich Baker, who co-wrote "Bit By Bit", "Long Gone & Forgotten" and "My Heart Says Yes", for five of the thirteen songs on the album.
